I’ve just watched Abbas Kiarostami’s Certified Copy for the second time.
For those of you who haven’t seen it, Certified Copy discusses whether or not a copy is just as good as the original. It draws parallels between reproduction in art and reproduction in humanity, tracing the romantic relationship between James Miller (William Shimell) and an unnamed art dealer played by Juliette Binoche as they explore ideas and art, copies and originals.
