Accentuating Louis Vuitton’s long-term relationship with Contemporary Art, Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH) has recently joined forces with Brazilian artist, Vik Muniz to create a rotating display for Louis Vuitton’s new store at the Aventura Mall in Miami. The piece entitled “Innumerable,” consists of 23 single “LV” logos stacked upon a single base, covered in canvas and embellished with colorful drawings and art work.
Vik created this piece with students from SPECTACULU, a nonprofit that educates at-risk youths in art, design and photography. This marks the first time LV has brought its “Art Talks” series — which aims to provide insight into the thought processes of chosen artists — to the US, after its UK launch in 2006.
Because fashion is best served with a side of comPassion, Louis Vuitton has also made a large donation to SPECTACULU, of course. We love it when fashion brands help non-profits, but are we totally over the houses shoving their logos and branding down our throats? Tell me your thoughts…

Dig this. IMO LV consistently ranks higher than other brands like Gucci, Fendi b/c of their willingness to experiment with color.
LV has continually built brand value through strategic partnerships. In his 2008 BAM exhibit, Murakami dedicated an entire portion to his LV work, creating a faux store exclusively filled with Murakami for LV pieces as an installation.
