By now, we know you’ve purchased your tickets to see ESCAPE FIRE: The Fight to Rescue American Healthcare this weekend. We are pleased to report that the film is continuing to generate lots of positive buzz…most recently from The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, and Time Out Chicago. It’s even ranking high by critics on Rotten Tomatoes.

Selected as a Critic’s Pick by The New York Times, ESCAPE FIRE is considered by movie reviewer Jeannette Catsoulis to be a film that “turns an unwieldy, Medusa-headed topic into a convincingly humane argument for change.” Catsoulis also states,“this hard-hitting film leaves us finally more hopeful than despairing.” Read the review here.

Kenneth Turan of the Los Angeles Times writes that filmmakers Matthew Heineman and Susan Froemke “not only deftly make the case that the (U.S. healthcare) system is ill but also effectively argue for a dramatic change in thinking.” Read the review here.

The Washington’s Post gives ESCAPE FIRE 3 out of 4 stars and selects it as a Critic’s Pick. Reviewer Ann Hornaday adds that the documentary is “sobering” and offers a “hot topic” with “a human touch”. Read the review here.

Finally, Ben Kenigsberg of Time Out Chicago says that the film has “major breakout potential” and applauds its non-partisan nature. Read the review here.
